The Parkinson’s Exercise and Wellness Center (PEWC) is a specialized, non-profit facility dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease through a holistic approach to wellness. Celebrating a landmark 10-year history, PEWC holds the distinction of being the first Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) affiliate in the Kansas City area, pioneering the use of non-contact, high-intensity boxing as a clinical tool. Beyond its signature boxing program, the center serves as a comprehensive Center for Learning, offering evidence-based movement programs, educational workshops, and a vibrant calendar of social events designed to combat the isolation often associated with the diagnosis. Operating out of a dedicated, state-of-the-art facility, PEWC remains steadfast in its mission to provide a supportive community where participants can fight back against Parkinson’s in an environment built on empowerment, camaraderie, and specialized care.
