About
We are physical therapists who believe in the power of exercise to change people's lives, especially those with Parkinson's Disease.
The mission of Rock Steady Boxing Bucks County is to provide an energetic and empowering exercise program in a supportive environment which allows people with Parkinson's Disease to FIGHT BACK!! We are seeing in our gym that there are ways in which people with Parkinson’s Disease can enhance their daily quality of life and build impressive power, strength, flexibility and speed! By exercising with coaches who know the ropes and are physical therapists, you can FIGHT your way out of the corner and feel and function better.
Research studies are showing that forced, intense exercise programs are NEUROPROTECTIVE and actually work to delay the progression of this disease. Studies are also showing that having a social network, like Rock Steady Boxing Bucks County, improves quality of life and correlates with better physical and mental health.
In addition to being certified Rock Steady Boxing Coaches, we are licensed physical therapists, with extensive experience working with people with Parkinson's Disease. We have additional certifications including LSVT BIG, LSVT Big for Life and PWR! therapists (Parkinson Wellness Recovery). We are passionate about what we do!!
At Rock Steady Boxing Bucks County, we design classes which incorporate elements of PWR, LSVT Big for life, High Intensity Interval Training and Rock Steady Boxing. Participants work hard while having fun. Our boxers have great camaraderie with each other. Come in and check us out!
