Rock Steady Boxing is a non-contact boxing, it is specifically designed to address Parkinson’s symptoms such as slow or small movements, imbalance, stiffness, flexed posture and more. Rock Steady Boxing is a scientifically based curriculum can be adapted to any level of Parkinson’s.

Why Rock Steady?

Rock Steady Boxing is specifically made to address Parkinson's symptoms like respiratory weakness, stiffness, flexed posture, small motions, and imbalance. Any stage of Parkinson's disease can be accommodated by our scientifically based curriculum.

How to begin?
An initial evaluation conducted by a trained Rock Steady Coach after contacting us. You will be paired with a class that is suitable for your level of talent and fitness.

Who is eligible to take part in Rock Steady Boxing?

Rock Steady Boxing is open to anyone with a Parkinson's disease diagnosis. A safe and efficient workout is guaranteed because our program is designed to accommodate people at different stages of the condition.

Is Rock Steady Boxing safe for all stages of Parkinson’s disease?

Rock Steady Boxing is safe for all Parkinson's disease stages, with Certified Coaches tailoring exercises to meet individual needs for effective workouts.

Do I need a caregiver or partner to participate?

Participants may need additional support during sessions, determined by their initial intake evaluation, depending on their individual needs.

How often should I attend Rock Steady Boxing classes?

Parkinson’s program manager, Rock Steady Boxing Master Trainer, Boxing program manager with a background in Kickboxing, and martial arts. Specialized in senior fitness. His goal is to transform lives through specialized fitness and Parkinson’s expertise, delivering hope, empowerment, and optimal well-being. Skilled in Nursing, Strength Conditioning Training, Exercise Prescription, Program Development, medical fitness, Pre-surgery and post-surgery exercises. Strong healthcare services professional with a degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology with a minor in health from Salisbury University.


Matt Kessler

   

Well-Being professional, Rock Steady Boxing Coach with a demonstrated expertise in senior fitness. He graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in Exercise Science. With a background in Kickboxing, he oversee the boxing and the Rock Steady Boxing classes. He plays a vital part in promoting and enhancing the well-being of our Parkinson's residents through engaging fitness, Rock Steady Boxing and boxing programs.
